Activities/Attractions: The Lake Bays is the most northerly and most pristine of what are considered to be the 'Muskoka Lakes'. It has more than 365 miles of shoreline and is a paradise for boaters and people who like to fish. The shoreline is generally rugged and the lake is dotted with islands.
The Oxtongue River drains much of Algonquin Park and flows into the lake near the Village of Dwight. This river is navigable by small boats up to Marshes Falls and the beauty of the river makes it a trip not to be missed. The water leaves the lake via the Muskoka river at Baysville.
Lake of Bays is a deep lake (over 250 feet in some spots) and that makes it a perfect habitat for lake trout. The beauty of the lake draws celebrities from Hollywood, the music business, the sports world and the business world ... many have vacation homes on the Lake of Bays.

General Information: Welcome to Foxwood Resort ... where year after year our guests return to enjoy family fun. Foxwood is a family-oriented housekeeping resort and it is one of the authentic, historic resorts on the Lake of Bays. We're all about what's natural, real and pure. We're brass and wood, not the glass and chrome of the big city resorts. We're located on beautiful Lake of Bays, which boasts 365 miles of shoreline and picturesque islands in the well known Muskoka area of Ontario.
The friendly atmosphere, beautiful scenery, the pristine waterfront location and one the most private settings you'll find all make Foxwood one of the best places to come for a true Muskoka getaway. You can actually unwind at here...a traffic jam means three Muskoka chairs on the dock or having to slow to let deer cross the road. At Foxwood you can actually hear the quiet!

- The Main Lodge is located at the centre of the resort's

9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. During winter months the lodge is
closed
- There is a large screen 40" LCD television with a VCR in
the activities room, with a choice of movies available for adults
and children
- On rainy days the children's program usually heads indoors
to the activity room
- Our accommodation charges include our the use of our
canoes, kayaks, rowboat, and paddleboats
- During the summer months, our children's and resort
activities program is also included
Algonquin Park, Ontario's most famous wilderness area, lies only 20 minutes to the east. The quaint village of Dorset is 20 minutes to the south by car and may be visited from Foxwood by boat. The town of Huntsville is 25 minutes to the west.
