Activities/Attractions: Long celebrated for its breathtaking scenery and welcoming climate, Kauai, the Garden Island, has nonetheless avoided the commercialization and crowding of other islands. A spectacular environment and easy accessibility make it a perfect place to create your own adventures by land, sea and air. Of course, the countless beaches and nature trails make it ideal for a calming, restorative experience.

Princeville is home to some of Hawaii's finest resorts, golf courses and restaurants. Princeville is also the site of three beaches, Pu'u Poa (thumping point), Kenomene Beach, and Kaweonui Beach (mostly rocky but, like most beaches on Kauai, beautiful to behold). A wide reef creates pockets which are good for snorkeling, however, high surf creates rip currents which make it wise to stay near shore unless the sea is perfectly calm.

Besides the resort community of Princeville, the area has resisted modern development and maintained an unhurried pace, particularly past the town of Hanalei, where the road is narrow and windy, and passes frequently one-lane bridges.
