Activities/Attractions: Holt is a market town and parish in the English county of Norfolk ... 22 miles north of the city of Norwich, 10 miles west of Cromer and 35 miles east of King's Lynn.
Holt is a lovely rural Georgian Norfolk town with plenty of unusual shops and surrounded by well-wooded parks. Having been burnt down in 1708, Holt presents a comparatively modern appearance, with a spacious market place, dominated by a fine cross of Clipsham stone to commemorate the war dead.
A jumble of streets and alleyways fan out from the main High Street, offering plenty of facilities including pubs, cafes, galleries, and shops to enjoy. There is a lovely country park just to the south of Holt and the North Norfolk Railway (The Poppy Line) runs from Holt station to Sheringham. Holt is particularly attractive at Christmas, when all the shops adorn themselves in pretty white fairy lights, making for a really festive wonderland.

General Information: Welcome to Cley Windmill Bed & Breakfast and Self Catering Cottage ... dating from the early 18th Century and a well-known landmark on the north Norfolk, England coast. It commands breathtaking views over the salt marshes to Blakeney Point and the sea, while nestling comfortably by the old quay, and alongside the flint-walled cottages of the village.
The windmill itself has been converted into a guesthouse of immense character, charm and comfort. The old stables and boathouses are now stylish bedrooms or self catering retreats for independent holidaymakers. The windmill featured in MGM's 1949 film 'Conspirator' with Elizabeth Taylor and was the scene of various intrigues in the televised Ruth Rendell Mysteries.

- The windmill is also available for private house parties and
weddings, should you wish to entertain your guests in a unique and
magical setting
- The ground floor includes a magnificent circular sitting room
where antique furniture and inviting sofas nestle comfortably
around a roaring open fire
- The beamed dining room, part of the original warehouse built in
1713, has a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to dine
- The upstairs rooms and galleries have stunning views over the
marshes and the sea
- The original stables and boat houses have been converted into
two, well appointed holiday cottages
- These are comfortable retreats retaining their original
characters. They are available (normally on a weekly basis)
throughout the year
