Activities/Attractions: Altea is one of the most beautiful cities along the Costa Blanca with about 15,000 habitants and can be reached using the A7 highway. Altea is one of the view villages which has maintained most of the former fishing village flair of the past.
Altea has kept clear of the mass tourism on the Costa Blanca. During the summer month every night on the small cozy plaza in the old centre there is a (original) handicraft market . All around the plaza are different bars and restaurants, from where you have a wonderful view of the Med, because the plaza is situated at the highest point of the village. Every Tuesday there is a market on the sea boulevard. For those who like theme parks, at about 10 km. there is Terra Mitica.
Just a few kms. away from Altea you will find the mountain area of Sierra de Bernia, which reaches up to 1130 mt high. From here you will have a nice view on the Altea area and the coastline.
There are over 5 km of beaches along Altea, divided into different sections - The Cap Negret north of Altea, followed by the La Roda and the Cap Blanc to the south.

General Information: Welcome to Los Rayos Del Sol B&B ... our lovely Guest House is in a gorgeous, semi rural, quiet, tranquil location, situated near Altea, La Nucia & Alfaz del Pi, with easy access to Benidorm and with outstanding views, offering the opportunity to play and relax before (or after) one of the many activities on offer in the area.
Tim & Sue Horton, originally from Bristol, England, moved to Spain in Jan 2006, something we had been planning for 5 years. We needed to find the right property in the right place, which we have with Los Rayos Del Sol; we are in a beautiful location very near to Altea, right at the top of the hill with outstanding panoramic views to the sea and the mountains. The is a semi rural, very peaceful area, but close enough to Benidorm town for the tourist attractions and a lively nightlife, and there is always Altea for a quieter night out.
We have renovated and redecorated every guest room and bathroom to a very high standard, we believe that we have created a warm, friendly and relaxed place to stay, somewhere much more personal than a big hotel, and much more than just a room with breakfast. Guest accommodations include:

The Hallway is our mini gallery of a favourite artist of ours Frank Shipsides, who works and lives in our home town of Bristol. He concentrates mainly on painting Ships and Seascapes. You will also find at the end of the hall, next to room 4 the ironing board and iron and a brush and dustpan and brush (we hope you don't need to use them) but in case of a glass breakage they are available.
We also have a well appointed and well equipped 1 bedroom ground floor apartment, which sleeps 4, situated very near to the beach of Albir.
