Find beautiful architecture of the city’s settlers alongside modern, sleek, gold-tinted skyscrapers. We’re modest but celebrate voraciously with over 1000 festivals every year. Toronto is a city that holds all the wonders of the world in one clean, safe, friendly place: a theatre scene rivalled only by London and New York, more than 80 cultures from across the globe, attractions that range from high art to rowdy family fun, and polished services for business travelers. And many of our most popular attractions are within walking distance of each other. In downtown Toronto, a short stroll is all it takes to travel between great sports venues, the CN Tower, major convention centres, endless shopping, top theatre, the waterfront, and inspired cuisine. Global Village Backpackers has Toronto’s only in-house Backpackers Bar. Take advantage of the city’s best drink prices and great atmosphere. Even the staff hang out at the pub! Sit on the patio, enjoy a good old Canadian barbecue and join other hostellers in nightly events such as The International Beer Olympics, Fear Factor, and Karaoke Madness which are guaranteed to be memorable! “Your hostel is so wonderful! We enjoyed the bar and patio very much. So many people were nice to us!”
